Technologies to improve impact of development aid programs
|| Inefficiencies throughout the development finance chain mean that many billions € of private donors’ and tax payers’ money, importantly from the EU and US, are being wasted every year, and correspondingly that millions of beneficiaries’ lives and health in developing countries, intended to be saved and cared for, are often actually not even reached.
Bluesquare was founded in 2012 to enhance the quality of public services funded by development aid institutions. Bluesquare wants to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of aid funding to developing countries, by focusing on impact and providing local stakeholders with the opportunity to voice their satisfaction and concerns. The company develops large Health Management Information Systems for results-based financing development aid programs in 23 countries, mostly in Africa.
BlueSquare is working toward reaching the 3rd sustainable development goal of the United Nations: “ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages”. It is essential to sustainable development to reach this goal and BlueSquare is going in the right direction to help make this happen.
